BRAPD012 – SUBLO & KID SMPL – SEANCE EP – 12-27-11
SUBLO & KID SMPL present a 3 track EP of dark, melancholy, futuristic, bass music. Both upcoming producers originally hail from Seattle. KID SMPL is known for darker, soundscape, found sample driven tunes and SUBLO makes purple tinged synth heavy tunes with tight drum programming. They both have DJ support stateside and in the UK on Sub FM, Rinse FM and Electric Soundstage. DIONYSIS creates a spacey, multi synth filled, percussive journey, with minimal stepping elements, bathed in goddess like bass. CONFESSION paints a tender audio picture of crucial eerie pads and playful drums all dubbed out like a reoccurring dream. ECCO has lots of elements of both these young producers, plenty of soundscapes by KID SMPL and great drum work and programming by SUBLO closing out the ep on a deeper subconscious high note.

Combining time travel with dance music Distal breaks down the more ambiguous sounds from the past and fuses them with thoughts and equations of the future. Because of this non-traditional approach to Dubstep, Funky and Techno, Distal has been forced to take a few risks, but along the way has created a very specific and friendly sound for himself.
Bridging the gap between techno, breakbeat hardcore, house, funk, gangster rap, and even pop culture, is a tricky formula to entertain. This enthusiasm has already gained the attention of many well-respected shamans and pioneers working in Dubstep and Techno today.
